Christian Theological Education Association is a non-profit organization that unites Christian theological educational institutions, teachers, and researchers from all over the world to become good disciples of Jesus Christ and to continue the divine mission of Jesus Christ in the era of His followers, to serve in the clarity of the Scriptures and the fullness of the Holy Spirit. The Christian Theological Education Association was founded and is currently operating in Mettupalayam, Coimbatore District, Tamil Nadu, India.
Our Mission
The Christian Theological Educational Association (CTEA) is an organization of theological institutions that work together to serve the Church in equipping God’s people for the mission of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Our Vision
The vision of the CTEA is to see member institutions effectively serving churches in fulfilling God’s global mission.
Why Choose CTEA?
The Association for Christian Theological Education is an accrediting body dedicated to providing appropriate theological education accreditation services to Christian universities, seminaries, and Bible colleges internationally.
We recognize the growing trend for local church leaders and pastors to train and equip their own members in regular church-based settings. The Christian Theological Education Association respects the autonomy of the local church and we stand ready to assist church leaders in their desire to equip their own people for a higher level of theological education at the local level.
Statement Of Faith
- The Bible
We believe that the Holy Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. They are the final authority for faith, doctrine, and Christian living (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21). - The Trinity
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14). - Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death on the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory (John 1:1-4; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:1-4). - Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is a free gift of God, received by repentance and faith, not by works (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10). - The Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He regenerates, indwells, empowers, and equips believers for godly living and service (John 16:8-13; Galatians 5:22-23; Acts 1:8). - The Church
We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the Head. The Church is composed of all believers and exists to glorify God, edify believers, and make disciples of all nations (Ephesians 1:22-23; Matthew 28:19-20). - Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
We believe in two ordinances: Baptism by immersion as a public declaration of faith in Christ (Matthew 28:19). The Lord’s Supper, commemorating His death and resurrection (1 Corinthians 11:23-26). - Eternal Destiny
We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost: the saved to eternal life and the lost to eternal separation from God in hell (John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:11-15). - Christian Living
We believe that Christians are called to live holy and blameless lives, demonstrating Christ-like character through love, compassion, and obedience to God’s Word (Galatians 5:22-23; 1 Peter 1:15-16). - The Return of Christ
We believe in the imminent and visible return of Jesus Christ to establish His kingdom. We anticipate the fulfillment of God’s promises to His people and the restoration of all creation (Acts 1:11; Revelation 21:1-4).
